Back to School

Our morning on the first day of school looks like this:

Time to wake up!

Who, me?

I am almost... One more minute, please...

no, no, I am not sleeping... I am almost there...

I think most of the kids look at their books the same way
on their first day of school... :)

Tomorrow our teenager starts his senior year of high school.
Where did the summer go?! :)

See you,
Marina

  4. Senior year is the best year, and more sad than their first day of kindergarten, too.

    1. I asked teenager about his first day, and he said he is happy after this year is over, he is done with the school. I told him not to hurry to be adult...

  10. Where did the Summer go? I'd ask your kitty but that would mean I'd have to wake hom/her up. Big mistake, I'd imagine.

    1. Dear Nami, Good luck with your school adventure! I wish you all the patience and wisdom, and some more patience... I know, waking up two hours earlier is more difficult for me than for my son... :)

  13. Marina I so agree with you. Although life in general goes by so quickly, holidays of all sorts have the tendency to be much shorter than the rest of the days. For me working days can be neverending, but during holidays time passes like french fast train TGV.

    1. Oh yes, Joanna, that's a good example: french fast train! :)

  14. It is certainly passing by quickly, although children here have three more weeks before school starts. Thanks for your lovely comments on my photography blog, I also have a lot to learn :)

  16. I didn't see any summer, what summer? The wether was so bazaar, we were at the house most of the time. Now I am making some trips to the farm, cooking some jams and siting outside with my morning coffee cup. Love your cat, my cat is so old, 17 years old-))) See you later, girlfrend!

    1. I hear you, what Summer, really?! :) We did the same, the weather was hot-hot, and kept us inside all summer long - no fun. We didn't even have a lot to make jams from. I just hope the second crop will be better as we still have several months before frost.
